1. ROBERT FICK (JOHN⁵, JOHN⁴, JOHN³, JOHANN DANIEL², JOHANN HEINRICH¹) was born 04 Feb 1853 in Douglas, Isle of Man and died 25 Mar 1935 in Toronto, Ontario. He married HARRIET CROUCH on 16 Dec 1876 in Kirk Braddan, Douglas, Isle of Man, daughter of SAMUEL CROUCH and JANE WHITE. She was born 08 Sep 1851 in Warminster, Wiltshire, England, and died 10 Aug 1933 in Toronto, Ontario.

More about ROBERT FICK and HARRIET CROUCH: In the 1901 Census of the Isle of Man ROBERT'S occupation is given as "Mariner", and in the 1901 Census his occupation is given as "General Labourer". Neither he nor HARRIET are found in the 1881 Census of the Isle of Man or England. ROBERT and HARRIET followed their children to Canada on June 20th, 1913, aboard the S.S. VICTORIAN, and lived in Toronto, Ontario for the remainder of their lives. HARRIET is remembered by one granddaughter as being strict, sternly forbidding and very religious, yet well loved by her family. Harriet Crouch was buried in St. John's Norway Cemetery, Toronto, Ontario. Robert was buried in Pine Hills Cemetery, Scarborough, Ontario.
